  • 1 (14 ounce/400 gram) can red kidney beans, (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, (roughly chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves, (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Olive oil, (for brushing or spraying (about 1 teaspoon))
