  • ⅛ teaspoon asafoetida ((hing))
  • 1 to 2 dry red chilies ((seeds removed))
  • 200 grams eggplants
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 to 2.5 tablespoons vangi bath masala powder
  • salt (as per taste)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut (- fresh & grated, optional)
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon jaggery powder (or chopped jaggery)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons coriander leaves (- chopped), optional)
