  • 150 ml dry white wine (- ½ cup )
  • 250 ml tomato passata (- 1 cup (strained tomatoes))
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped wild fennel (- optional)
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 fresh chili pepper or a pinch of dried red chili flakes (- optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or mint
