- 1 tbsp oil (I use avocado oil, but other neutral oils such as sunflower or canola work too.)
- 3 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 480 ml (2 cups) Beef stock (homemade or water + 3 stock cubes is fine)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp tomato puree/paste
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced into lengths)
- 1 white onion (peeled and sliced)
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 large baguette/French stick
- 55 g (1/2 cup) grated cheese (I like sharp cheddar)
