  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup panko
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons white granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 2 Tablespoons mirin (or substitute 1 Tbsp. boiling water with 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated or ginger paste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
