- 2 egg whites
- Vegetable or canola oil (for cooking steak)
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil ((light olive, peanut, avocado, vegetable, or canola oil))
- 1/2 large yellow onion, ( 1-inch square chop)
- 3 red, orange and/or yellow bell peppers, ( 1-inch square chop)
- 1/2 cup Asian SWEET chili sauce ((I use Mae Ploy))
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2½ tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes ((more or less to taste))
- 1½ teaspoons cornstarch
