- 1/4 cup blanched almonds (35g)
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 - 2.5 cups beef, lamb or chicken broth (500-600ml)
- 1 tbsp Ras el Hanout (Moroccan spice blend) (or use 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp cinnamon)
- 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Harissa (optional, to add more heat)
- 1 tbsp parsley (finely chopped)
