  • 1 pinch asafoetida ((hing))
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or as required)
  • 8 to 9 tablespoons water (to make thin batter)

  • ¼ cup roasted chana dal ((roasted bengal gram))
  • ¼ cup poha ((flattened rice or parched rice))
