  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour (measured with the spoon and level method)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (*reduce to a pinch if using salted butter)
  • 2 Tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2-3 Tablespoons lemon juice (or as needed to thin)
