  • 2 tablespoons ghee (samen baladi, or butter)
  • 2 medium yellow onions (quartered if straining yogurt, diced small if you don't want to strain)
  • 2 bay leaves (fresh or dried)
  • 1 tablespoon ghee (samen baladi, or any type of oil)
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • ½ cup almond halves (or slivered almonds)
